Blues City Music is now an authorized stocking dealer for Lava Cables

Blues City Music is now proud to offer our customers the world renowned Lava Cables brand.  Lava Cables owner, Mark Stoddard, is a former US Army Officer, so naturally with me having been a USAF and Tennessee Air National Guard C-130 Aircraft Commander, we speak the same language.  For you our valued customer, this means you can expect an extremely well made product and a fantastic customer service. 

Case in point, I wanted to see how fast their service was before taking them on as a new dealer.  I needed a very customized Stereo Y cable for the effects loop of my own 1994 Matchless DC-30 combo guitar amplifier.  This cable had to have both mono and stereo/TRS male 1/4" plugs and 20' of cable.  When I called to order, Mark answered the phone, took the order, and within 2 days it was shipped to me in packaging as good as any I've ever seen, and I've been in the shipping business at FedEx for 34 years.  BINGO, HOMERUN.  Lava Cables is the real deal.

I will be stocking Blue Demon, Soar, and Ultramafic guitar instrument cables, Tephra speaker cables, and Tightrope and Piston pedal board kits.  You will have the option of 12' - 20' on most cables and 3' - 6' on speaker cables.

Matchless amplifiers and extension cabinets are all point-to-point hand wired by their staff in Los Angeles, California using the best materials available.

Cathode biased means it's a simple remove and replace when it comes to output tubes. 

Blues City Music will stock the following items, but ANY amplifier, cabinet, or pedal in their inventory is always available with a simple order.  Black tolex for your amp is the industry standard color, but Matchless offers a host of other colors upon request at a nominal charge. 

Matchless Amplifier cabinets are loaded with Celestion G12 H30 and Celestion G12M Greenback speakers. 

1.  Matchless DC30 2 x 12" combo with reverb.  2 channels, 15/30 watts, effects loop, EL84, 12AX7, EF86, 5AR4. This is the amplifier that started it all.  Industry standard. 

1.  Matchless Clubman head with reverb, and matching 2x12" cabinet.  35 watt single channel, EL34, effects loop. 

1.  Matchless Independence head with reverb, and matching 2x12" cabinet.  35 watt 3 channel, EL34, 12AX7, 5AR4 tube rectifier. 

Blues City Music terminates dealership with Splawn Amplification

As of today, 9 September 2015, Blues City Music has terminated its dealership with Splawn Amplification in Dallas, North Carolina.  This occured because of irreconcilable differences beyond our control.  No hard feelings and no ill will as Scott is a fabulous guy and makes a really nice Marhshallesque type EL 34 amp.  We wish them nothing but the best.

We will be liquidating our remaining 8 pieces of Splawn equipment.  IN STOCK, UNTOUCHED, and NEVER OPENED are 3 different 4x12" cabinets and 1 Quick Rod 100 watt amplifier. 

We will also be selling the demo products in our studio/store front including a Quick Rod with )Mullard EL 34's), Nitro with (JJ KT88's), and a 4x12" slant cabinet with Eminence Big Block speakers.

2015 Diamond Guitars models are now in stock and almost ready for shipping from Houston, Texas. 

There are plenty of new models to choose from with this order including Monarchs, Renegades, Halcyons, you name it, but hurry up and give us a call as a lot of these guitars were ordered in advance. 

If you are looking for the FINEST guitar you can find for under $1,000 USD, then you definitely want to get on board with Diamond Guitars.  I personally have 3 that I use on a routine basis and I've never had any problems with any of them.  Grover tuners, custom Seymour Duncan MADE IN CALIFORNIA pickups, original Floyd Rose tremolo systems, etc. are used when building these guitars.
