Blues City Music LLC owner, Lynn Burke, plays rhythm/lead guitar in his own Southern Rock band "House of Melody", in the Memphis, Tennessee area.

House of Melody is a hard charging Southern Rock band based out of Memphis, Tennessee.  They specialize in doing charitable fund raising events at medium to large outdoor festivals.  In 2012, they released their first EP titled, "Turn It Up", which featured versions of four iconic Lynyrd Skynyrd songs.  As successful as that has become, the most important facet of this project is the continued support provided via CD and download sales etc., to the House of Melody School of Music Education in Gravel Ridge, Arkansas.  Putting smiles on the faces of children and families participating in music programs has been amazing to see.  If not for the House of Melody Band, most of these classes wouldn't exist.

House of Melody Band has also opened up for The Marshall Tucker Band and The Eric Gales Band at several different festivals.

4 June 2021, House of Melody finally finished their 27 month project of their own version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird".  Pre production was accomplished at Red House Studios in Gravel Ridge, Arkansas.  From there, most of the core of the recordings were recorded at  legendary American Recording Studio in Memphis, Tennessee.  Slide guitars were recorded at Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and back up vocals were recorded at Avon Recording Studios in Hong Kong, China.

Multi Grammy/Platinum record mastering engineer, Emily Lazar at the Lodge in White Plains, New York, spent months working on this Free Bird project for House of Melody.  She finished 7 digital download masters which are available at all standard outlets in 16 bit and 24 bit HD, a 12" 180 gram triple plated 4 page gate fold vinyl LP version, and a Dolby Atmos 11.1 master.
